| Age | The candidate should be at least 21 years old and not more than 38 years old as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation applies: |

| Residency | The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam. Must have a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate. |
| Local Language Proficiency | The candidate should have proficiency in Assamese or the local language. |
| Educational Qualification | Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent. For (link unavailable) graduates, 55% marks in aggregate or 55% marks in Honors/Major subjects. For Arts or Science graduates, 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent, with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects, or 55% marks or its equivalent in Mathematics/Statistics as Honors (BA/B.Sc). Minimum qualification marks for departmental candidates and SC/ST candidates in bachelor’s degree is 50%. |
